Lomori Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Lomori handles information when you use the app.

1. Scope of This Policy

Lomori is a local business-card capture and contact organization app. It is designed to process card images and recognized contact details on your device. The app does not require an account and does not provide a backend, cloud sync, remote OCR, or analytics service.

2. Information You Provide

When you scan or import a card, the app may process the image you choose and text recognized from it, including names, companies, job titles, phone numbers, email addresses, websites, and addresses. You may edit these fields before saving them.

Confirmed cards, their editable fields, favorites, scan history, preferences, and app-owned image files may be retained locally on your device. The app does not upload these items to Lomori or a remote service.

3. Device Permissions and Contacts

The app requests camera access only when you choose to scan a card. It can also process one image that you select through the system photo picker.

If you authorize Contacts access and choose to add a card, the app may read available contact fields to check for possible duplicates and may create a new contact after your confirmation. It does not overwrite existing contacts and does not delete contacts from your device. Existing system contacts are not removed when you clear app data.

4. On-Device Processing

Image correction, text recognition, field matching, duplicate checks, search, and local record management are performed on the device using the app and the relevant Apple system frameworks. The app does not use remote artificial intelligence or send card content for processing.

5. Network and Service Providers

The app has no account service, advertising service, payment service, or server-side storage for your card data. The only network feature is the optional opening of the app's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy pages in an in-app web view when you select those items in Settings. The web view may receive ordinary technical information required by the network and web platform.

6. Retention and Deletion

Your saved card records and app-owned images remain on the device until you delete them or use Clear App Data. Deleting a record removes its local record and associated app-owned image. Clear App Data removes the app's local records, images, favorites, and preferences. It does not remove contacts previously added to the iPhone Contacts app.

7. Security

Because card content is designed to remain on your device, the security of that content also depends on your device passcode, operating-system protections, permissions, backups, and other settings. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

8. Your Choices

You choose whether to scan or import an image, grant permissions, save a card, add a contact, or clear local app data. You can deny camera or Contacts access and can manage those permissions through iOS Settings. You can also delete individual local records at any time.

9. Children's Privacy

Lomori is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or online service.

10. Updates and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or its data practices change. The revised policy will be made available through the app's legal page. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].
