A clear zero-tolerance standard
Child Safety Policy
Effective date: October 09, 2026
01Our age boundary
Only adults 18 or older may use Yelo. A person below that age must not open an account, be featured in a profile, exchange messages, or join an audio or video session. We use age declarations and other proportionate signals, but no online check can guarantee that every user is truthful.
If you think a participant may be a minor, stop the conversation, use the block control, and report the account. Do not investigate the person's age yourself or ask for identity documents.
02Zero tolerance for CSAE
Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) includes grooming, sexual solicitation, coercion, trafficking, sexual extortion, or any attempt to arrange sexual contact with a child. These acts are forbidden even when no image or payment is involved.
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) means any image, video, live transmission, or other depiction of sexual abuse or exploitation of a child. Yelo forbids requesting, creating, storing, possessing, uploading, selling, trading, linking to, or helping distribute CSAM.
- Do not sexualize a child or ask for sexualized words, photos, video, or live conduct.
- Do not use a profile, message, call, or another person's account to groom, threaten, blackmail, or recruit a minor.
- Do not evade an age or safety restriction by moving a conversation elsewhere.
- Do not copy, download, forward, or email suspected CSAM.
03How to send a report
A report is most useful when it identifies the account and explains what happened. Open the relevant profile or conversation, choose the report control, select a child-safety reason, add the time and relevant facts, and submit. Block the account if you need to stop contact immediately.
Subject: Yelo Child Safety Report
Describe the location of the material or account without attaching suspected CSAM. If a person faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
04What happens after a report
Our safety process may preserve relevant account, profile, communication, call, device, or report records; restrict an account; remove material; disable contact; or terminate access. We may prevent a terminated person from returning through another account. We may withhold details from a reported person when disclosure could endanger someone or compromise a review.
When facts and law support it, concerns may be referred to service providers, professional advisers, law enforcement, child-protection bodies, or another competent authority. We cooperate with valid legal requests. A report does not promise a particular decision or completion time, and not every report is sent to the same agency.
05Official resources and privacy
In the United States, a suspected online child-exploitation concern may also be submitted to the NCMEC CyberTipline (external official reporting website). Outside the United States, use the appropriate local authority. We consider the facts, location, and applicable law when deciding where a report should be escalated.
The Privacy Policy describes handling of safety information. The Terms of Use prohibit harmful conduct and explain account enforcement.

07Keeping this policy current
We may revise this page when Yelo's features, safety controls, providers, or legal duties change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Account removal is explained on the Account Deletion page; closing an account does not erase a report or defeat a lawful evidence-preservation requirement.
